Writing/reading whole numbers require you to look at the numbers as grouped by commas. To read the number,
- Start at the right most group
- Determine which group it is .... Billion, Million, Thousand
- One group at a time, read the grouped digits ... followed by the name of the group

- 1. 34,567
- Think: 34 Thousand, 567
- Write: Thirty Four Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty Seven
- 2. 745,512
- Think: 745 Thousand, 512
- Write: Seven Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Five Hundred Twelve
- 3. 234
- Think: 234
- Write: Two Hundred Thirty-Four
- 4. 12,623,341
- Think: 12 Million, 623 Thousand, 341
- Write: Twelve Million, Six Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand, Three Hundred Forty-One
- 5. 23,255,675,213
- Think: 23 Billion, 255 Million, 675 Thousand, 213
- Write: Twenty Three Billion, Two Hundred Fifty-Five Million, Six Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Thirteen
