COMPARISON RULES

To compare integers:

	Graph the two integers on a number line (in your mind).
	The smallest number will be the number furthest to the left on the number line.
	Use the symbol (>, or <) that points in the direction of the smaller number.
	Use the symbol equal (=) if the points are placed in the same location on the number line.
